This meeting will bring together leaders and experts from Wall streets, IT, EE, Chemical and biotech fields to explore the topics of career development and business start-up. It is also a good chance to do social & networking with your peers and find various opportunities. Please don’t forget to bring enough name card for networking!

Topics:

Panel Discussion with the introduction of financial business and some hot topics including IPO and private equity as well as career development in Wall Street.
Wall-street is a word with mystery for many people. We may need to know what, and how and why in wall-street. In this forum, Dr. Yisong Chen and his colleagues (Around 3-4 speakers) will host this panel discussion. Please feel free to ask questions to those financial experts.
This panel discussion is especially useful for the recent financial graduate and those who are interested in the financial business in Wall street.

Dr.Yisong Chen

Dr. Yisong Chen is an expert in financial modeling and forecast. He is currently a Vice President at Merrill Lynch , one of the leading international financial service providers in the world. Dr. Chen joined Credit Suisse First Boston, the investment bank arm of Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse Group as an Assistant Vice President in 1994 and then was promoted to a Vice President in 1995, he was responsible for the development of mathematical models and trading strategies for fixed income proprietary trading, mortgage backed securities, foreign exchanges, stock indexes, futures and options at Credit Suisse First Boston until September 2001.
From 1991 through 1993, Dr. Yisong Chen was a quantitative researcher developing pricing models of financial derivatives and risk management at Susquehanna Investment Group, an industrial leader in options trading. Dr. Yisong Chen received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Power and Industrial Automation from Tianjin University in 1982, and a Master degree in Control Engineering from Beijing Institute of Control Engineering in 1985. Dr. Yisong Chen received a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Systems Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and 1994 respectively. Currently Dr. Yisong Chen is also the Chairman of Chinese Finance Society and Chairman of Tianjin University Alumni Association in North America, the Executive Vice Chairman of the United Council of American Chinese for Promotion of Economics, Trade and Technology. Dr. Yisong Chen is also a Guest Professor of Tianjin University, an Overseas Chinese Expert Adviser to the Municipal Government of Beijing, a Senior Economic and Technology Adviser of Liaoyang Municipal Government, an Independent Director of TEDA Venture Capital Corporation Limited.
