The Snow Line Group is an international alliance of multidisciplinary
specialists dedicated to the commercialization of high quality
scientific and engineering endeavor. Many of our members are
privileged to enjoy frontier research at their high peaks.
However, like individual snowflakes, each is but a trace of
uniqueness and delicacy. From its vantage point, each flake
brings its crystalline properties into the snowline, where
the active interaction and critique of ideas further refine
and amass its snow-like brilliance. At the Snow Line, the
purity of research moves to meet the pragmatism of relevance.
It is the line where innovation begins. Since its inception
in August 2002, Snow Line has gathered 160 members, mostly
ethnic Chinese, from the USA, PRC, Singapore, Canada, UK,
Hong Kong and Australia. Most members hold doctorate or master's
degrees.
Snow Line firmly believes in the coherence of knowledge,
that is, knowledge has both unity and universality. The global
trend of technological convergence attests to this. For example,
computers are no longer just computing but also communicating.
Chips are no longer just electronic but bionic. Hence our
approach is primarily interdisciplinary. We have already engaged
good expertise in Physics, Chemistry, Bioscience, Electrical
and Electronics, Information Technology, Pharmaceutics, Management,
Marketing, Finance among others.
Snow Line also firmly believes in Globalization. We may come
from different countries and nationalities but we are still
in the one world. We are willing to leverage expertise and
resources world-wide. We are also open to market world-wide.
The Internet is our basic platform for information exchange
and cooperation.
Snow Line members are mostly ethnic Chinese. We hope to draw
from our rich heritage of Chinese philosophy and culture,
while we shall also tap into the best the West has to offer.
Through this, we hope we can be a positive influence on the
future of China. We certainly have our share of members with
backgrounds in Philosophy, History and Public Administration.
